Sun Modul

Sun Modul is a patented system using the latest technology in this field. Made from polycarbonate the multi-wall structure of the panel, together with its unique support bar system, combine to create the ideal roof glazing solution for the contractor and D.I.Y enthusiast alike.

Sun Modul Panels

• A technologically advanced acrylic surface coating provides excellent UV resistance ensuring protection against fading and discolouration.
• The 500mm panel width provides strength against wind uplift, while maintaining and aesthetically pleasing aspect.
• Sun Modul panels are manufactured from high-grade polycarbonate. They are 98% translucent and practically unbreakable.
• Sun Modul is available in 3 colours: transparent, opaline and smoky-brown
• The cellular structure in 3, 4 or 5 walled configurations (thickness 10-16-25mm) creates incredible rigidity as well as superlative thermal insulation.
• Approved by the Institute for Bautechnik in Berlin (certificate PA-111 2.3080), Sun Modul panels are also deemed practically 0% inflammable according to DIN 4102 B1 and BS 476 Part 7 Class 1.
• Sun Modul panels are easy and fast to erect, reducing installing time and minimising the risk of damage or delay.
• The special shape allows the Sun Modul system to be stored efficiently and results in lower transportation costs.

Steel Channels and Clip Profiles in Polycarbonate

• The joining consists of steel channels, which are part of the system, in which the Sun Modul panels are locked from the top.
• The simple clip and fix nature of the channels results in a fast and secure installation
• The gauge and shape of the steel channels confer a very high rigidity and consequently a free span of up to 3 metres(depending on load and application)
• At the same time, the steel channels, combined with the UV-protected clip profiles ensure perfect water tightness.
• The steel channels are always situated on the inner side of the glazing. This helps to avoid thermal bridges.
• The in-built fire retardant properties of the panels and the protective coating of the steel channels ensure long-lasting weather resistance and enduring aesthetic quality.
• With utilisation of cross-bars the screw joint may be made with preassembled panels.
• The clip profile is locked afterwards and guards against wind suction.
• The transparent clip profile gives to effect of a contiuous surface.

Frame and Accessories

• The system is completed by a full range of aluminium profiles for framing.
• The aluminium frame fits easily under every structure
• PE-inlays assure hermetic sealing of the system
